Congratulations to nine-time Black Reel Award nominee, Ava DuVernay, who has just been tabbed to direct the science fantasy novel, A Wrinkle in Time.
Based on a 1963 book by writer Madeleine L’Engle, A Wrinkle in Time revolves around a young girl whose father, a government scientist, has gone missing after working on a mysterious project called a tesseract. DuVernay’s project will be the second adaptation of the L’Engle’s book, an earlier television film was made with the same title in 2003.
